Chrystie Street Hotel

The Chrystie Hotel is a reinterpretation of a typical highrise building in New York City by stripping down the historic ornaments of the facade, and exposing the pure structural components as the main facade design. In addition, the structural columns and the windows taper in a slight angle so that each floor and window is emphasized; each window bay represents one hotel room up to 15th floor. The upper tower with larger window modules serves as the residential tower (18-25th floors), whereas the lower tower with smaller window modules serves as the hotel tower (3-17th floors).
